Liability by Location

The Liability by Location Report shows your total outstanding liability on all gift cards from the beginning of your account up to the end date you select.

What can be filtered:

  • Location — Filter by one or more locations (defaults to all locations).

  • End Date — Choose the date up to which you want to view outstanding liability.

Click Apply filters to load results after making your selections.

Columns in this report:

Column

Description

Location ID

The unique ID of the location.

Location Name

The name of the location.

Cards Outstanding

The number of cards at that location that currently have a remaining balance.

Total Liability

The total outstanding balance across all cards at that location.

Average Balance

The average balance per outstanding card at that location.

Notes:

  • This report reflects the liability as of the selected End Date (not real-time).

  • Only cards with a positive balance are included in the counts and totals.

  • The report aggregates data from the start of your account history up to the chosen end date.

This report is best used for:

  • Viewing your total outstanding liability from the start of your account with us to the end date you choose.

  • Seeing how many cards are currently out with a balance on them.

  • Viewing the average amount of money on the outstanding cards.

Common use cases:

  • Month-end or period-end liability tracking — Select the last day of the month or reporting period as your End Date to get an accurate snapshot of your total gift card liability for accounting purposes.

  • Identifying high-liability locations — Compare Total Liability and Cards Outstanding across different locations to spot stores with the highest outstanding balances.

  • Reviewing average card balances — Use the Average Balance column to understand typical remaining values on active cards and identify trends over time.
